Discord rules, fees and what gets you removed (2026)
checked 2026-10-08
Short answer. Discord: Communities run by their own admins. Automation here is rated: not allowed or too risky. Any automation of a normal user account is forbidden. What gets removed: Self-bots or user-account automation. Buying or selling accounts. Answer a question fully before you mention anything of yours.
How it works
Communities run by their own admins. Helpful answers in a help channel build a name over time. Many large servers ban self-promotion outright.
Who is there
Builders and learners who ask for help and notice who answers well.
Can you automate it?
Not allowed or too risky. Any automation of a normal user account is forbidden. A bot app only works where an admin invited it.
Good habits
- Answer a question fully before you mention anything of yours
- Read the channel rules, they differ per server
What gets accounts or listings removed
- Self-bots or user-account automation
- Buying or selling accounts
- Unrequested direct messages
What we saw ourselves
We checked our servers: Lovable, bolt and Base44 ban self-promotion. Supabase has a help channel and a jobs channel.
