One file per shape
Frames and paper come in a few shapes. A design made for one shape fits every size in the same family, so many sellers make one file per shape and let the buyer scale it. A design for one shape does not fit another without cropping.
| Shape | Sizes it covers |
|---|---|
| 2:3 | 4x6, 8x12, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36 in |
| 3:4 | 6x8, 9x12, 12x16, 18x24 in |
| 4:5 | 4x5, 8x10, 16x20 in |
| 5:7 | 5x7 in |
| 11:14 | 11x14 in |
| ISO (A series) | A6, A5, A4, A3, A2, A1 |
Before you list
- Design at 300 DPI for print, and keep text away from the edges so a small crop does not cut it.
- Export one PDF or high-quality PNG per shape, and put them in a ZIP if you have more than five files.
- Check Etsy’s file limit above, and see our printables page and Etsy rules for what the platform allows.
