Google Search and ad networks rules, fees and what gets you removed (2026)

checked 2026-10-08

How it works

Traffic from Google is what a niche site lives on. Google allows AI help but its spam policy (updated 28 Aug 2026) treats many pages generated without adding value as scaled content abuse. Ad networks such as Raptive vet every site; in 2025 it rejected 13% of applications for AI-generated content.

Fees

Can you automate it?

Careful, rules apply. Use AI for research and structure. A person must add real value to each page.

Good habits

• Add something a reader cannot get from a summary: your own experience, photos, testing
• Fact-check everything

What gets accounts or listings removed

• Many AI pages with no added value can lose rankings
• Ad networks remove sites over AI concerns (over 50 at Raptive since 2024)

Ways to earn that use it

• Niche website that ranks on Google (SEO) with affiliate links or ads (Watch, not proven yet)
• Build a small niche website with AI help and your own knowledge (Watch, not proven yet)

Recent changes

• 2026-08-28: Google updated its spam policy: using generative AI to produce many pages without adding value counts as scaled content abuse. AI can help research and structure a site, but each page needs something a reader cannot get from a summary, or the whole site can lose rankings.
