How do you check whether ChatGPT and other AI answers mention your website?

checked 2026-10-08 5 entries from the Tools Atlas

Short answer. Once a week, ask 10 to 20 questions your site should answer, through an official connection to an AI service you already have a key for, and write down whether your site is named. That is the whole method. geo-aeo-tracker needs two paid keys, and OneGlanse reads chat screens, which likely breaks their terms.

One by one

The weekly check (ask, then log) Copy the idea, skip the tool

Ask 10 to 20 target questions through official connections only, and log whether your site is named. Small and predictable, with no reading of chat screens. It needs only your own AI service key.

Licence. not stated. Cost. Free software. Your own model or answer-engine API key.

geo-aeo-tracker Copy the idea, skip the tool

Tracks whether a brand shows up in answers from AI assistants and Google AI Mode, with a visibility score and cited pages. MIT, but it needs two paid keys (Bright Data and OpenRouter). The Atlas says build the small loop yourself and skip the dependency.

Licence. MIT. Cost. Free software, but it needs two paid keys (Bright Data and OpenRouter).

OneGlanse Skip it

A free tracker that reads what chat products show on screen. No licence is stated, and reading chat products through their screens likely breaks their terms. Skipped.

Licence. not stated. Cost. Free software.

AI SEO audit checklists Copy the idea, skip the tool

Checklists for markup, signs of real expertise and readiness for AI answers, plus notes on which tricks no longer work. MIT. Its honest findings: Google ignores llms.txt, and FAQ rich results ended on 2026-05-07. Evidence of results is weak.

Licence. MIT. Cost. Free software.

schema-dts Use it

Typed builders for schema.org markup, so a page gets valid structured data without hand-writing it. Apache-2.0. It prevents invalid markup; it does not lift rankings. Mark up only what is visible on the page.

Licence. Apache-2.0. Cost. Free software.

Doing the weekly check

Write your 10 to 20 questions once, in the words a customer would use. Ask the same questions each week. Log the date, the question, the service, whether your site was named and which page was cited.

Change the page or the question list, not the log. If your site is never named after several weeks, the fix is a clearer answer on the page, not a trick.
