What you are selling
A shirt design that Amazon prints, sells and ships. You earn a royalty per sale, and only after Amazon accepts you into the programme.
What the evidence says about money
No income data was found. A secondary source reports approval odds of about 30 to 40% with 2 to 8 weeks of silence, a royalty near 2.44 USD on a 19.99 USD shirt at the entry tier, and automatic rejection of applications that show AI-generated artwork. The programme's own pages could not be read, so all of this is unconfirmed. Treat as a path to monitor, not to start.

The rules where it happens
- Amazon Merch on Demand: You do it by hand inside the platform. Amazon's own pages could not be read (merch.amazon.com blocks automated fetching, robots.txt returned 503). A July 2026 secondary article says AI-generated artwork in application samples triggers rejection, uploads are limited by tier, and payouts run on a 60-day cycle. Source

When to stop
Do not start until Amazon's own programme page confirms open applications and shows rules for sellers in your country. If applied and not approved after 8 weeks, drop it.
What can go wrong
- Eligibility for sellers in your country was not found on any page read
- Approval may be slow or denied, and your AI helper cannot speed it up
- AI-generated samples may be rejected; designs that infringe brands lose the account
- Listings with no sales in 18 months may be deleted (secondary source)
- Royalty for beginners is small per shirt
